It's getting harder and harder to find authentic Cantonese food nowadays in Vancouver and also restaurants which serves late night "da Lang" style food, yes, there are a few but they are getting rare as time goes.
I have to thank David W., as I saw his review of this establishment and inspired me to give it a try!
As you can see from the photos, food is not fancy but it has all the right elements of a good late night snack place! Items were all freshly made as you order and came piping hot, yes, the place is old and run down but I don't care as the food is the focus here and not the place, staffs are nice and friendly so that's a plus!
I shall be back for more! -

Atmosphere: Clean, medium in size, lots of seating for what it is.
Price: fair market value.
Customer service: beyond awesome.
Food: Cantonese food which is something that i have little experience in, however, all the family style dishes i tried with my group were tasty. nothing really to compare to so this was a complete blind situation. -

Just awful. I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp and was literally given deep fried entire shrimps with the legs and all, weren't cleaned, and all it was it slightly battered, soggy shrimp with a tiny bit of garlic and cut up jalapeño. Bland, dry, disgusting.

First of all, this shady looking place changed their name from rose garden to K & H Seafood Restaurant for over a year without updating their yelp info.
Second, their menu pricing has gone up unreasonably, their quality of food does not deserve the price they charge. The food was below average.
Third, customer service... Let's just say an autistic kid with no experience in serving can do better.

This is no longer called Rose Garden Restaurant, instead it is called K & H Seafood restaurant. Was trying to look for reviews under K & H - don't bother. We came late at night for the late night supper menu... it is the typical Hong Kong style - mini dishes with plain congee. If you order 5 dishes, a free large congee is given to you. The dishes are good with good flavour however the free congee that is supposed to be large is small by comparison with other restaurant like Congee King. You are lucky if you could squeeze in 4 rice bowl size of congee. Given that you ordered 5 dishes of food, there is not enough congee to go with, we had to order a bowl of rice at the cost of $2.50. That's where they make the extra $, if you don't mind that... then you will enjoy the dishes... late at night with not too many customers, service was good. Don't expect ambience... you are in a typical Chinese restaurant... place is pretty run down - food is good. Their fried white fish in salt & green chilli pepper is well done - crispy, the green beans with sliced beef is cooked in robust black bean sauce.
